Soul Warriors was started by Ralph and Barbara Thomas in 2024. It grew out of a small bible study that was started in 2019 in Georgetown, Texas. The group had to stop meeting due to the COVID Pandemic that hit. Ralph and Barbara continued to study through reading the bible and studying the David Jeremiah DVD study series programs. In 2024 the couple had a calling to start a ministry called Soul Warriors to save souls and help feed the hungry. Thomas was determined to open a web site selling Christian jewelry that would fund projects to pass out bible tracks and The Book of John as well as continue to build a DVD library of Christian teaching to show to fellow Christians in groups.

In 2024, upon the prompting of Barbara Thomas; Ralph started leading a communion devotional on Sunday mornings at Merritt Heritage Senior Village because many people here could not get out to go to church. As Ralph Thomas put it, "God lead the way and he kept calling me to not go to church but to be the church.

Ralph Thomas retired a decade ago after running a company called Thomas Investigative Publications, Inc. and an association of investigators called The National Association of Investigative Specialists. Thomas had shot to sector stardom after he wrote and self-published a book called How To Find Anyone Anywhere he marketed to other private investigators in the 1970's. He build a publishing and investigative equipment company that peeked in the early 20th century at just under 10 million dollars a year. Ralph and his wife retired and moved into a retirement community about seven years ago.

As devout Christians the couple now believe that the remaining time on earth should be dedicated to helping people, bringing others to the lord and helping animal groups and missions.
