Let the dolphin remind you to balance your deep inner strength with your ability to bring joy to others.  Jump for joy. Handmade with love.

About Dolphins And Your Dolphin Jewelry: Often called, “the humans of the sea” because they are so smart, dolphins are sea mammals. They have streamlined bodies with two flippers. They are fast as they can go up to 18 miles per hour. They can also leap into the air as high as about 30 feet. Dolphins have greatly developed hearing that can hear both in the water and on the surface. They can dive to deep water and have a layer of fat that keeps them protected in cold water. Dolphins have their own language which humans are just now starting to understand. They can hear over long distances both in and out of water. Dolphins in captivity learn quickly to adopt to commands of humans. They are highly intelligent and highly social. They live in pods ranging from a few to over 100. Dolphins breath air and can not breath underwater like most fish. They breath through a blow whole in the top of their head. They must breath about every five minutes. Because of this, dolphins can get caught in fish nets and drown as they can not come to the surface. There are nine species of dolphins that are on the endangered species list and one that may already be extinct. Aside from getting caught in fishing nets, many societies hunt and eat them. Some simply hunt them for sport. Most of the deaths of dolphins are caused by human behavior yet they appear to be attracted to humans and will often help a human they detect is in trouble and appear to  know to get them to land. The dolphin has as much right to life on God’s earth as we do. It is our duty to try and save them. They are an innocent and sinless animal of the sea. Twenty percent of the purchase of your dolphin jewelry goes to just that.  Thank you for reading this little description of the Dolphin and helping to save them!  -Ralph Thomas
